Enjoying some of this delicious porridge

Sydney, hearty breakfasts are becoming more convenient for this chic, lucky city that is ours. Thanks to Natural, a pot of purity is now more affordable. There are no more excuses to opt for fast food and skip breakfast altogether. Goodness in a 520gram bottle has arrived just in time, as we are about to (sadly) leave the summer season behind, as at the time of writing this. Figuratively speaking, and only for about another nine months. Another Sydney based food manufacturer that is listening to consumers.

Super convenient that has it's advantages, as well as it's drawbacks. For me, this porridge contains a little more sugar to my liking. Have it with a glass of water (not chilled, room temperature is ideal), and you can't go wrong. Be Natural suggests that you should enjoy this porridge with some skim milk, yet I thoroughly enjoy this with some healthier almond milk. Again, you can choose how creamy you'd like your porridge to be. Hint: stir half way through the ideal cooking time. Speaking of which, all it takes is 90 seconds in the microwave. Give your porridge a quick stir and enjoy.

Using the measuring cup on the packaging

Healthy grains, and the Pink Lady Apple, Flame Raisin and Coconut porridge is flavoursome, and rather hits the spot for about an hour or so. The fruity bits are a bit too sweet, otherwise just as great as their cereals. This is a new product to hit the supermarket shelves in Sydney, again as at the time of writing this. $5 well spent, equating to around 35 cents per serving (you only need a third of a cup) before milk. You can conveniently use the lid as your measuring cup, and use a normal cup just for the milk, or for both the porridge and for the milk. Completely up to you.

Clever recycling suggestions are also provided on the back of this packet. Do a paper mache or soul collage after use, and create the used packet as a holder for tea bags, pencils and/or cooking utensils. Also makes a great money box idea too.

Highly recommended breakfast treat if you want something light, yet rather hearty to start your day. Used to skipping breakfast? No more excuses for you in the harbour city.
