With cabinets like this, why wouldn't you want to stop in for a bite?
Pattison's Patisserie has locations all over Sydney, which is a good thing. Because once you've had a bite to eat there, you will definitely be keeping your eyes out for them in future. For those who are in the mood for something sweet or savoury, you can find them at Mosman, Bondi Junction, Cammeray, St Ives, Chatswood, Ryde and Hornsby.
They have something no matter the size of your appetite
Gluten free options are clearly labelled
The Mosman location is one I have frequented many times. Located on the main strip of shops at 898 Military Road, the mosaic-tiled floors and cool glass cases packed with nibbles just invites you in off the street. Stylish wooden chairs and tables up the back give you a spot to escape the sun for a bit, and to enjoy your purchases if you choose to eat (or drink) in.
A seating area in the back is the perfect place to enjoy your treats
One of the reasons I like to frequent Pattison's is that they always have a number of gluten free options. My favourites are the chorizo frittata and the flourless chocolate cake, although there are a number of other tasty treats to choose from. I like to enjoy them with a chai latte, which is also gluten free, or a cold soft drink that's sold in glass bottles like the soft drinks from years back. And we all know fizzy drinks taste better in glass.
Both sweet and savoury are utter perfection
For those who don't have to eat gluten free, the options truly are endless. Sweet-toothed types can choose from baked cheesecakes, crème brulee tarts, fruit flans, cupcakes and tea cakes. Not enough? There's also a number of pastries that are all exclusive and unique to Pattison's.
Hard to go past a gluten free flour less chocolate cake
If you prefer a savoury treat, you're also not lacking in choice. They have fresh handmade pies, frittatas and quiches, none of which are ever frozen. Fillings include fresh Tasmanian salmon, fillet chicken, beef mince, garden-picked herbs and fresh mushrooms. You can taste the pride that these treats are made with.
The treats are perfect enjoyed with a hot or cold drink
Coffee afficionados will delight in trying Pattison's own specialty blends, but they also have a number of teas and cold drinks. And if you only want something small to nibble on while you enjoy a drink, it's definitely worth trying one of their macarons which come in flavours like salted caramel, pistachio, peanut butter, honeycomb and strawberry and cream.
The flavours will make your mouth water
If you want to pick up something a little more filling though, Pattison's also has freshly baked loaves of bread. Made from organic flour, the bread is cooked on the same day it is sold, and like the pastries are exclusive to Pattison's.
The attention to detail even goes down to the floors
Pattison's is a great place to pick up something to eat if you're in a hurry, but is even nicer to sit down and take a breather. And the quality you get is absolutely second-to-none at all of their locations, so you can be comfortable that you always know what you are getting.
