Petit cafe, as the name suggests, is a kiosk type little cafe set in the midst of shops in the busy furniture hub in the Castle Hill Home Centre.
The food here is anything but petit from the diverse, abundant choices of portions. It is the complete opposite of petit. The long glass display case in front is filled with quite a large selection of savouries, which tempt and invite you while the sweets that stare at you are more than capable of tantalising your taste buds.
The bagels there are a must to try. If choosing is an issue, take my recommendation and order the ham and avocado. The bagel comes with a freshly made salad with dressing making the dish quite large in portion size.
Although petit is a kiosk type of cafe, there is no dearth of sitting space as tables and chairs are arranged in front of the cafe with enough moving space between them.
Since the staff at Petit spend most of their time boxed in behind the counters, you hardly get to speak to them; but when they do come out bearing warm delicious dishes in hand, they do take a few moments to greet and inquire into the quality of food.
All in all Petit is a cafe which would send off the customer quite full and satisfied; but since it is in the midst of shops, I don't see anyone making a special trip just to visit the cafe - which in my opinion is a pity, for Petit truly is a place of good food and good coffee. It therefore remains only as an oasis of food and drink for the many shoppers who frequent the Castle Hill Home Centre.
