Not every Thai restaurant I have eaten at left me with a sensation of wanting to return for yet another meal. Thai Terrace in Norwest was one of those restaurants that I was sure I would visit again one day.
It's stranger that the Thai Terrace experience for us started with a disappointment in the form of a half cooked coconut prawn with our entree. We were in two minds if this was the right choice of restaurant for dinner, but since the staff profusely apologised and made sure there was no repeat of that incident; we opted to stay on and finish our meal.
As we proceeded with the night ordering mains, we were actually glad that we did not make an exit over the half cooked prawn.
The Thai beef salad we ordered was one of the best I have tasted in some months. No leathery beef in the Thai Terrace Beef Salad I should say.
The deep fried fish with the satay sauce was popular at our table with nothing being left on the plate at the end of the meal. I would go for the deep fried calamari at anytime.
But of course the meal would have been complete if the staff made sure there was enough sweet chilli sauce to go with the dishes that required it. The portions however were of good size, and all the dishes that came to table were up to the mark with their flavours.
The place itself is quite spacious with ample parking available. The staff are eager, quick and willing to listen and make suggestions. If not for the half cooked prawn, our Thai Terrace experience would have been nothing short of perfect.
