Beautiful Persian treats here

If you're the type of person that rejoices in an exotic culinary experience, then the newest restaurant in Norwest - the Anais Persian Restaurant is the one to indulge in some mouth watering Persian delights.

Nestled in a quiet corner in the business hub of Norwest, Anais is by far the best Persian restaurant in the Hills District. Mouth-watering rich aromas instantly hit you as you enter the establishment. Such aromas easily make you ravenous and eager for a taste, and then some.

Absolutely, sharing is caring.

Anais offers everything that is Persian from the Hooka Pipe to the Doogha. Such delicacies take you on a cultural experience you wouldn’t want to forget. The menu is not too extensive, as for you to get lost in the choices. The portion servings aren't too large, to the extent that you won’t be able to savour a few more dishes than usual. The prices are not over the top, and therefore will not burn a hole in your pocket. The Taste of Persia ($36) comes highly recommended - a great taster for all.

You never know what good stuff lies underneath

The friendly staff will earnestly guide you through the unknown but quite fascinating names that pop up on the menu. This therefore makes it easy for you to decide how adventurous you want your culinary experience to be here. Tapas of Persia ($20 for 2-4 people) is a must to try, in tandem with the selection of Anais’ speciality dips that the chef comes up with each day. The sizzling beef, lamb and chicken dishes that come out of the pantry - with their exotic names such as Koobideh, Joojeh, Chenjeh are rich in taste.

They're also cooked to perfection, where they just melt in your mouth. Those who shy from spices and heat do not need to panic, as none of the dishes were too hot or spicy for my palette to handle. The whole Anais experience will not be complete if you do not taste the Ahkbar Mashti ($8.50) - the aromatic Persian ice cream. It is a little bit of sweet heaven in a bowl.

A relaxing ambience is enjoyed

Although the restaurant is just three months old, it has already become a hot spot for those who love to tuck into a new cultural experience - or even for those who miss their mothers traditional cooking. The ambience at Anais is certainly authentic, but not foreign. As the name suggests: Anais, a Persian Goddess of love - is surely present with a romantic feel in the air. Truly a place for a romantic rendezvous, yet everyone feels welcome. The quality of the food and the service that Anais offers, will surely keep you coming back for more. On that, Anais is a kid-friendly establishment. A fantastic place for families to eat out and unwind together.
