Cafe Bello Burwood

Cafe Bello is a very decent Mediterranean cafe located in the Burwood Road entry to Burwood Westfield's.

This cafe is busy 7 days a week, and operates on a first come first serve basis. There is also a decent kids menu which includes a brekkie option.

Modern decor with comfy booths

The decor is modern and trendy, with a private upstairs area available via stairs which seats approximately 25 people.

There are booths and tables available on the ground level, which can cater to low mobility visitors.

If you visit and have a special dietary requirement e.g. celiac, diabetes etc, make sure you let your waiter know as soon as you sit down, and don't hesitate to remind them.

If you love your breakfast; you will find a new home at Bello because it is available until 5pm.

Open grilled ham, cheese and tomato on Turkish bread.

Price wise, I felt that the tasty cheese toasty above was overpriced at $15.90, although it did come with a decent mini salad on the side. The salad came already seasoned and dressed which was lovely.

Pumpkin and ricotta ravioli with pinenuts and baby spinach delish

My personal favourite dish is the pumpkin and ricotta ravioli with pinenuts and baby spinach for $24. The ravioli pasta portions were the average size however there was certainly enough for the dish. The spinach was vibrant and fresh, easily complementing with the delectably sweet pumpkin.

Grilled chicken breast free range with mushroom sauce, salad and fries.

The grilled chicken breast (free range) with mushroom sauce, salad and fries was quite impressive. It was restaurant quality and worth the $22.90 price. The chicken itself was lovely and cooked to perfection. The sauce itself wasn't too creamy which allowed me to enjoy the flavours.

The dessert menu is quite extensive, and includes pure gelato desserts; pancakes; crepes; waffles; and a whole range of fresh cakes on display in the fridge window.

The best carrot and walnut cake ever

I am not kidding when I say that the slice of carrot and walnut cake that I tried at Bello's was by far the biggest ($8.90), but most importantly the best ever.

Do consider Cafe Bello an option for a late breakfast, lunch or dinner when you are next at Burwood Westfields.
