David Jones Food Hall Westfield Bondi Junction
Fresh fruit at David Jones Food Hall
Retailer David Jones has a second food halls in Sydney. Welcome to David Jones Food Hall at Westfield Bondi Junction. Opened up as soon as Westfield Bondi Junction opened in 2004, this more boutique counterpart has been shining since. Quite smaller than the city store, yet quality and taste is not to be underestimated.
Oh chocolate
You can gain immediate access from their home section, without the need to move back and forth on escalators. If you enter right near Dusk, you'll be greeted to some hand made quality chocolate. On the other hand, some fresh fruit also awaits with an ever busy juice bar. Any juice with kale is fantastic here. They do sell some chocolate dipped fruits, although they tend to run out quite quickly. There is an oyster bar, yet no other major bar than what is experienced in the city. All of the other fresh food places are designed for foods to be taken away, or otherwise enjoyed at a smallish communal table area.
[iMAGE3 A diverse range of treats]
The range of Japanese food is extensive, and their gyozas are supreme. As at the time of writing this, there are more Christmas hampers available than there is in the city.
Excellent fish and chips here
Great to have some grilled fish and chips here for lunch. On a good day, you'll be lucky to buy such a treat for only $5. A rather filling dish. Well organised food hall all round.
Yum
