Grilld Darling Harbour Harbourside

Grilld Darling Harbour Harbourside

First came across Grill'd - that deluxe burger place with a pleasant twist while living in Melbourne. Was fascinated with fast food being turned up a few notches, with many recognisable brand vibes.

Go to any Grill'd, and the service is rather consistent. This is true to form at their Harbourside store at Sydney's Darling Harbour too. Came here just before lunch time on a wet Sunday, and there was hardly a soul in sight - except for myself and two other people.

The ambience here is quite spacious, and not feeling overly hungry I went for the standard beef burger ($9.90) with lettuce, tomato, a large beef patty and some mayo like sauce. Whatever that sauce is, I don't really care what it's called - it is just divine.

Order at the counter, and then you're given a table number. The only difference between this Grill'd restaurant, and the other one at Melbourne City Iv'e been to countless times comprises of three words: full table service.

In the meantime, you can soak in the loud, cool music and the space when only a few burger hungry souls are mingling around.

Furthermore, you can catch up on the two Sunday newspapers (if coming for a Sunday lunch) and any of the few cool magazines floating around. For a moment, you will hallucinate with a cafe society feel wondering where on earth is my coffee. Don't fret, your burger is on it's way. Be a lazy bones, and allow full table service for some 'burgerlicious' goodness.

In saying it, it felt like my burger took a longer time to cook than normal, considering that this place wasn't flat chat. On the other hand I did not mind. One bite, and I tucked in right in. Five minutes later I was done. Just finished reading the Body & Soul section of a Sunday newspaper in time. Ready to brave the wet weather all over again. Thank you for those beef burger cravings body.

Rating: 8/10

Where: 10 Darling Drive Darling Harbour NSW.
Why: Beef burger only.
Cost: $9.90 for the cheapest possible cow you can find here. I chose a sourdough bun here too.
When: Sunday lunch, especially on a wet day.

Good for kids: Yes. There was a child there with his mum when I was there.
Take away: Not sure. At Grill'd I've always eaten in.
