Hurricanes Express Chatswood
We were craving for ribs ever since
Westfield Chatswood put up the Hurricane's billboard signs months ago.
Last week was Hurricane's grand opening at Westfield's in Chatswood. Tonight was perhaps the most anticipated dinner for this week. I've got ribs on my mind!
The new Hurricane's Express is located at the newly revamped Anderson 'Eat' Street. There are ample indoor & 'outdoor' seatings, and they're spacious enough to fit all the North Shore baby prams. Mothers' groups converge around this place in the mornings for catch ups; families & friends meet here for dinner in the evenings, and the young restless teenagers gather here after a movie at night.
When we arrived, the place was packed with new curious diners, as well as old loyal followers. It was a busy bustling night, the cash registers worked non-stop.
There are three options for the ribs, you can choose either from the pork, the beef or the lamb. We personally think pork ribs are the tastiest out of the three.
We ordered a half rack of pork ribs served with fries ($29.95).
Ta-da...two large slabs of ribs were delivered to our table. If this is a half rack, imagine what a full rack of ribs would be like?
We were a lady and gent prior to the ribs' arrival with cutleries all placed dutifully on the table. Once the ribs were placed in front of us, we ditched the fork and knife.
I believe these ribs tasted much yummier when eaten with our hands!
The smell of the sweet BBQ sauce and gorgeously charred slabs of ribs glistened under the light, beckoned us to dive in. Perhaps it was the cold weather and the rain. Our ravenous appetites surfaced immediately, but we had to wait 'impatiently' because someone had to take a photo or two first.
The ribs were juicy, tender and fell off the bones easily. These curved pork ribs were finger-licking good!
Tell me, do you love a load of BBQ sauce on your ribs? Perhaps I should get a bib.
Sigh...these ribs were heavenly. I've satisfied my cravings.
