Delicious Lemon Tart

Fancy and petite, and yet how amazing and unexpectedly beautiful this pit stop is at Myers in the city. Welcome to La Rose Cafe . Whether you want to treat yourself because you scored yourself some bargains, and/or have made some good use of your Myer One membership, or you've shopped at Myer for the sake of it. Hey, even if you don't want to shop at Myers, and you want a fairly cheap feed in the city, and/or a sit down coffee away from the hustle and bustle, then you're in La Rosa luck.

A fairly hidden gem near the ladies lingerie section, and many of us can attest that this end of the city can get insanely busy; especially on the weekends. Heck, being located near the right section also helps. La Rosa is a perfect place to unwind for sure.

Inside escape the hustle and bustle paradise

There is a self service water facility (all I wanted to drink at the time), where you can help yourself to as much water as you'd like. It would be great if actual glasses could be used, as opposed to plastic cups; however for a freebie, you can't complain too loudly.

The rose like ambience

The Lemon Tart ($4.80) was beautifully presented, and the staff member serving me pointed this out at the time of ordering, and mentioned that she'd like to try one herself some time. Patisserie style, and great value. A filling treat for 3pm on a Thursday afternoon. Yours truly was struggling to devour every mouthful, despite only having a light lunch a mere two hours earlier. The lemon curd is rather tangy, with a thick pastry base. Full table service is provided with your food if you order a coffee; otherwise your treat is given to you at the front counter to take to your chosen seat yourself. A highly recommended informal pocket to unwind and relax in.

Conveniently located inside Myers
