Paesanella Haberfield

It’s Christmas (as at the time of writing this) and that means lunches, dinners, drinks and finger food. Whether you are inviting people to your house or taking a platter to eat at someone else’s house, be sure to stop at Paesanella in Haberfield. With an abundance of products to choose from, everything you need is in one place.



With so many delicious choices, your next occasion will surely be a success. In the freezer section there was a range of pastas available. These included beef lasagna, gnocchi and spinach and ricotta cannelloni. There was also a choice of ravioli with fillings that included spinach, pumpkin, mushroom and pancetta.
For something sweet there were take home packs of Tiramisu ($12). Also available were Bambino ice cream cones with different flavours and toppings ($13.50 - $20). For me however it was the Little Red Raspberry flavoured sorbet ($11). This was light, fresh and sweet without being overly sweet. This is definitely the perfect treat for summer. Other flavours for purchase were lemon, vanilla and hazelnut.



If you were looking to make up an antipasto platter, there was a wide range available. Simply choose from a range of deli meats including ham, pancetta, mortadella and salami. Then combine those with any number of cheeses; some olives and the most delicious feta filled capsicum. Grab some fresh bread; and one or two dips, and you have a winning platter to serve.



Everything is priced according to weight. It really depends on how much you will be buying. I purchased ten feta filled capsicums at just over $7. I also grabbed half a roll of a cheese roll. I cut six slices from that at a cost of also just over $7. The cheese roll was delicious. It was a combination of prosciutto, spinach and olives all rolled into beautiful, fresh mozzarella cheese. It also comes in salmon. As far as the taste goes, this will entirely depend on your taste. It doesn’t have a huge amount of flavour and may seem quite bland; however I really love this cheese roll and it always finds a place on our table.



The store also stocked many different products from oils to herbs. It also stocks jams and pastas as well as coffee and biscuits. You really can get everything you need right here in the one shop. I highly recommend a visit to Paesanella.
