Customers are encouraged to smell the loose leaf teas

Truly beautiful tea sets can be purchased

North Shore residents are lucky that in recent months a T2 store has opened up in Mosman. T2 has long been a favourite of tea lovers all over the country, and the store on Military Road in Mosman definitely doesn't disappoint.

Its wall to wall tea inside

Browsing is a delight

The Mosman T2 store is a sizeable one. You can't necessarily tell from the outside, with the cool dark windows hiding what is inside, but venture in and I'm sure you'll be surprised. I certainly was, and pleasantly so.

The Mosman T2 is looks small from the outside

But looks do deceive as its actually quite large

The store is wall to wall tea and tea paraphernalia. Almost instantly on walking in, I had a store assistant come up to me and ask if I would like a cup of tea while I browsed. I found this a nice and unobtrusive touch, as at many other stores you almost feel a little harassed. I asked for some assistance in finding some suitable teas for my husband, who is not a big tea drinker but would like to be. The lady was incredibly helpful.

If youre not sure what to get someone, the staff are very helpful, or you can get a gift voucher.

They even have canisters perfect for storing your tea leaves

I didn't know what kind of flavours my husband might like, so the lady began to ask me what foods he likes to eat. Through my answers, she came up with some good ideas. She led me around the store, smelling multiple canisters of tea and always asking for my honest opinion. Not able to decide, I asked if I would be able to purchase some sample sizes to take home with me. To my delight and surprise, I was given six sample packs of loose leaf tea (each with two cups worth in them) for free. I was also given the reassurance that should my husband not like any of them, I could come back and try some more.

Such pretty things to look at

While the sample packs were being done up for me (complete with labels and ideal temperature instructions on them), I was told to have a browse. After staring wistfully at the beautiful tea cups and pots, I made my way over to the tea bar. The tea bar is one of my favourite parts of T2 stores, as it means you can try a few teas for free. The lady there was again helpful, explaining each tea to me and letting me try all six that were on offer. I expressed in interest in iced teas, and she let me know that any of their teas could be made hot or cold, and showed me the equipment they had, especially for iced tea. I'll admit, I bought an iced tea jug and a small packet of Southern Sunrise loose leaf tea, which is apparently popular with those who like a citrus flavoured iced tea.

If youre after something cute, these teapot charms cant be beat.

I also got to join the T2 club for free, which will give me vouchers and discounts when I spend money at any T2 store. And given that I can't stop thinking about the limited edition cherry flavoured teas I tried while there, it won't be long before I spend again.

Just a peek through the doors is inviting enough

All T2 stores really are a pleasure to spend time and shop in. But it is the amazing, friendly customer service at the Mosman one that really makes it stand apart. There is no hassle to buy anything, and they are glad to give out free samples. This is because the product is so good, the staff there know it will speak for itself.

T2 at Mosman is a place I know Ill be shopping at again and again
