An easy trip from Sydney, Stanwell Park is an hour south of the city, with easy train access from Central Station too; the Stanwell Park Station is a two-minute walk from the café.

Tucked away amongst the evergreen escarpment is Stanwell Parks quaint main street and Palms Café. Upon entering the café, you’re made to feel right at home, with the café taking on a homely aesthetic, with walls decorated with photographs of the surrounding area.

Having arrived mid-morning, coffee and cake seemed like the perfect accompaniment. The simple combination of a chocolate milkshake, tea and freshly baked scones was not disappointing. Apparently many others seemed to think so too, as many tables were decorated with golden scones, jam and cream.

Aside from scones, The Palms Café also offers a variety of fruit loaves and a cabinet filled with fresh, daily made cakes. If you're after a more hearty meal, Palms Café is also open for lunch Thursday to Monday, with side dishes starting from $5 and mains from $12 - $20.
This tea will warm you up nicely on a chilly day.
A meal at The Palms Café is an experience that the whole family can enjoy. While there isn’t a kid’s menu, there is food on the menu that children can enjoy.
The popular scones with jam and creams. A classic for a reason. Accompanied with a traditional chocolate milkshake.
Whether it’s a day trip out of Sydney, or escaping home on a rainy day, Palms Café is definitely worth the trip. After enjoying a meal, you can wander about the boutique stores on the main street, or drive a little further south to the famous Seacliff Bridge and explore the area.
