Wildpear Cafe Dural

Wildpear Cafe Dural

On the look for a place to brunch with that someone special, I stumbled upon a gem of a cafe down old Northern Road in Dural. Named Wildpear, this cafe definitely is not your usual nursery cafe. The nursery well and truly exists, with glazed pots and potted plants, but in the centre of it all is this amazing, rustic homely cafe. It's apt to say that Wildpear indeed is the centre of attraction at Ever Green Growers.

Though the cafe was unheard of by me, it certainly proved to be a secret known to many. As we walked in quite early for brunch, the premises was relatively empty; but on time for breakfast, the cafe had already begun to fill up.

The atmosphere at Wildpear is very welcoming, and the staff are relaxed and extra friendly. The whole ambiance of Wildpear makes you want to sit and linger on and on.

No one seems to be in a hurry to order, finish the meal and leave. The staff are not the type to send the vibe that it should be just that: order, eat, pay and leave. Its is almost as if you have found a happy place, where you can relax and be yourself and take your time doing it.

As for the food served in Wildpear, simply put everything was sensational. Nothing complicated but just modern and tasty. The best thing about the food served in this rustic country style cafe is that most produce items used here is home grown or from the farms around the area.

The breakfast menu throws all kinds of delights at you, but I decided to try the breakfast bruschetta, which consisted of a bruschetta with ricotta, figs, honey and a glaze ($16.90). Sounded amazing and tasted just that: amazing. Who would have thought the humble fig tasted so good with bread. I am sure this breakfast would be seasonal as figs aren't around all year round.

I am glad I chose the fig bruschetta option, but the porched egg ($20.90) breakfast my husband tried was as sumptuous as my fig centred breakfast dish.

Both of us had a very relaxed, pleasant time at Wildpear - a place that we almost did not turn into. I can't wait to return to this cafe and try out the lunch menu next time.
