Zen Oasis Berrima
“Rambling in the mundane world I found Zen Oasis.
A place full of grace and peace, I enjoyed a rare and wonderful meal.”
Welcome to the Zen Oasis.
Zen Oasis is described as an 'Oasis of harmony.' Drive up the long driveway, there is a beautiful scenic view that fills you with serenity and awe. Overlooking a lake, the land is big, spacious and peaceful. The doors do not open until 11:30am sharp, to ensure that everything is completely ready for the guests when they enter. Friendly staff greet you as the smell of food wafts through the air, making your stomach grumble.
Sushi station.
The cost of the buffet is $31 per adult and $16 per child (aged 4-11 years). What makes it different from a normal buffet however, is that this is specifically a vegetarian buffet, with a few vegan friendly options.
There are vegan options available.
Veggie curry.
Be warned though, try not to eat before you come here to take advantage of the variety of foods that are freshly prepared for you.
Slowly working our way through all the food.
Panfried taro bean curd.
You always need to eat your vegetables.
Siu mai and crystal dumplings a personal favourite.
Even meat eaters will enjoy this buffet, with a variety of soy-meat that tastes just as good, if not better than the real thing. This vegetarian buffet will also give you the perfect opportunity to try some new foods that you wouldn't normally eat.
Determined to try everything at least once.
For all those with a sweet tooth out there, Zen Oasis has a variety of desserts that will satisfy all your sweet cravings, with an assortment of jelly, yoghurt, fruit, cookies, mochi balls and more.
Who doesnt love dessert
My favourite orange and strawberry jelly.
Jelly has always been my number one dessert, but because it's so difficult to find jelly not containing animal based gelatine I tend to miss out. Zen Oasis though provides vegetarians with the chance to catch up on all the times they've missed out with their deliciously fruity jellies.
Mouthwatering sweets.
Zen Oasis really is a peaceful place. It's one where you can enjoy a relaxing meal in a cosy, friendly place with an abundance of delicious foods to choose from. Don't just take my word for it though, go see for yourself - it's definitely worth the one and a half hour drive from Sydney.
Mochi ball.
The desserts just keep on coming.
